From PSG CAS Coimbatore to Building India's First Shopify AI Agency — The Codified Commerce Story

In 2013, I lost ₹1.5 lakhs.

Not to a bad product decision. I lost it to a web-development engagement that did not deliver a usable ecommerce outcome for my bicycle retail business. That experience reinforced a lesson that still shapes Codified Commerce: a website is not the same thing as a working commerce system.

From Coimbatore ecommerce experience to Shopify

My background includes early online financial-services experience and later running a bicycle retail business in Coimbatore. I began building with Shopify after learning first-hand how important commerce architecture, catalogue structure and operational understanding are to an online business.

Why Codified Commerce evolved

Shopify and AI have made implementation dramatically faster. That is why Codified Commerce has moved away from selling production hours, fixed developer packages and standalone Sidekick services.

Our current architecture is Shopify Agentic Solutions across Commerce, Marketing and Consulting. Implementation is delivered through Codified Algorithmic Thinking™, while Codified Algorithmic Thinking™ controls the work through Define → Decompose → Orchestrate → Execute → Validate → Learn.

What remains constant

The core principle is the same: merchants should not pay primarily for someone to type code or operate tools. They should pay for problem definition, architecture, implementation, human validation and accountable handover.

Built in Coimbatore

Codified Commerce is a founder-led Shopify practice based in Coimbatore and built for merchants that need practical Shopify expertise as commerce becomes increasingly AI-assisted and agentic.
