How Codified Commerce Relaunched RESPMART for Shopify Agentic Commerce: Phase 1 Case Study

Client: RESPMART
Industry: Respiratory healthcare equipment ecommerce
Service: Machine Experience Development by Codified Commerce
Engagement: Five-month phased contract valued under current CAT pricing
Current status: Phase 1 completed in the first month; revamped Shopify website relaunched

About RESPMART

RESPMART is a brand operated by Vanguard Healthcare Solutions offering genuine respiratory care devices with a commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Project overview

RESPMART is an India-focused ecommerce store for respiratory equipment, including CPAP and BiPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, masks, nebulizers, pulse oximeters and compatible accessories.

The business engaged Codified Commerce for a five-month Machine Experience development programme valued at ₹1 lakh. The objective was broader than a cosmetic redesign: the store needed a clearer commerce foundation that could help customers discover relevant product categories, compare information responsibly and reach human support when clarification was required.

The first phase was completed during the opening month of the engagement. Following this work, the revamped RESPMART Shopify website was relaunched. The remaining phases will continue to build on this foundation during the contract period.

The first-phase challenge

Respiratory equipment is not a conventional impulse-purchase category. Customers may arrive with a clinician's recommendation, an existing device, a replacement requirement or a need to compare technically different product categories.

The storefront therefore needed to serve several distinct journeys without presenting ecommerce content as medical advice. The first-phase priorities were to:

  • Clarify the store's respiratory-equipment positioning
  • Organise a broad catalogue into understandable shopping pathways
  • Improve movement between equipment, masks, accessories and brands
  • Make product comparison information easier to find
  • Create clearer routes to support before purchase
  • Establish a foundation for later agentic-commerce development
  • Preserve appropriate clinical and product-information boundaries

The Codified Commerce approach

Codified Commerce treated the relaunch as the first controlled phase of a longer Machine Experience engagement.

The work combined Shopify implementation, structured content, customer-journey design and human review. AI-assisted methods may accelerate research, organisation and execution, but project decisions, healthcare-sensitive wording, storefront implementation and release approval remain human-reviewed.

1. Reframe the homepage around customer situations

The relaunched homepage gives customers more than a general product catalogue. It begins with clear positioning around CPAP, BiPAP and oxygen equipment in India, then provides pathways based on the visitor's likely situation:

  • Starting CPAP or BiPAP therapy
  • Finding a mask or replacement part
  • Comparing oxygen equipment
  • Buying for a clinic or organisation

This structure helps customers move from intent to an appropriate category while reminding them to use a clinician's recommendation as the starting point for therapy-related decisions.

2. Improve catalogue and category discovery

The revamped storefront organises products across equipment, masks, accessories and established brands. Customers can move directly into categories such as CPAP and APAP machines, BiPAP and BPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, full-face masks, nasal masks and replacement accessories.

Brand-led discovery was also retained so visitors can browse respiratory equipment from manufacturers represented in the catalogue.

3. Introduce guided product comparison

The site now explains a practical comparison path:

  1. Confirm the therapy requirement using a qualified clinician's recommendation
  2. Compare products within the correct equipment category
  3. Check device, mask, tube, humidifier, power and replacement-part compatibility

This is an important distinction for responsible assisted commerce. The storefront helps customers interpret and compare product information; it does not diagnose a condition, prescribe therapy or replace qualified clinical advice.

4. Strengthen trust and support pathways

The relaunched experience makes pre-purchase assistance more visible. Customers can reach RESPMART when product specifications, availability, compatibility, warranty or delivery details require clarification.

Trust information is integrated into the journey through product-specific details, catalogue structure, support access, frequently asked questions and clear disclosure that RESPMART is operated by Vanguard Healthcare Solutions in Coimbatore.

5. Build an educational commerce layer

The website connects product discovery with buying guides and frequently asked questions. Educational content helps customers understand terminology and prepare better product questions before moving toward a purchase.

This structured information also creates a stronger foundation for search engines, answer engines and future AI-assisted commerce experiences to interpret the store. Visibility or inclusion in any external AI shopping experience is not guaranteed and depends on the platform's eligibility, policies, data quality and other factors outside Codified Commerce's control.

What “agentic commerce” means in this project

For RESPMART, Machine Experience is not presented as unsupervised automation making healthcare decisions. It is a governed commerce model in which structured information, assisted discovery and connected support help a customer move through the storefront while humans retain responsibility for material decisions.

The developing model connects:

  • Clear catalogue and product data
  • Intent-led shopping journeys
  • Educational and comparison content
  • Support escalation when human clarification is needed
  • Human-reviewed Shopify execution
  • Phased improvement rather than one uncontrolled release

Phase 1 delivery

During the first month, Codified Commerce completed the initial website-revamp phase and relaunched the RESPMART Shopify storefront.

The completed first-phase foundation includes:

  • A clearer homepage position for respiratory equipment in India
  • Customer-situation pathways for major buying intents
  • Improved category and brand-led catalogue discovery
  • Guided product-comparison content
  • Stronger pre-purchase support routes
  • Educational guides and FAQ-led trust content
  • Healthcare-appropriate boundaries between product guidance and clinical advice
  • A storefront foundation for the remaining agentic-commerce phases

Engagement status and next phases

This is an active five-month engagement, not a completed five-month case study. Phase 1 has been delivered and the website has been relaunched; subsequent work will continue through controlled phases.

The later phases are intended to build progressively on the new storefront foundation through further Machine Experience development, review and optimisation. Exact priorities can evolve according to approved scope, business requirements, customer behaviour and implementation findings.

Because the relaunch is recent, this case study does not claim guaranteed improvements in rankings, traffic, conversion rate or revenue. Those outcomes require sufficient measurement time and are affected by product demand, pricing, inventory, marketing, competition and other factors beyond the website implementation.

Why the phased model matters

A phased engagement allows a live ecommerce business to improve without treating every requirement as a single high-risk release.

Each stage can be defined, implemented, reviewed and approved before the next stage proceeds. This makes it easier to:

  • Separate completed work from planned work
  • Maintain human accountability
  • Review customer-facing information carefully
  • Respond to findings from the relaunched storefront
  • Document decisions and handover requirements
  • Keep automation proportional to business and customer risk

First-phase outcome

The immediate outcome is a relaunched Shopify website with a clearer respiratory-commerce proposition, more structured catalogue discovery, better-defined customer journeys and visible support pathways.

Most importantly, the first month created the operating foundation for the remainder of the ₹1 lakh, five-month Machine Experience development engagement.

Conclusion

The RESPMART project demonstrates how a Shopify relaunch can move beyond visual redesign. In a product category where customers require clarity, compatibility information and responsible support, the storefront must organise decisions—not merely display products.

Codified Commerce has completed Phase 1 and relaunched the revamped RESPMART website. The project now moves into its remaining phases with a clearer, human-reviewed foundation for Machine Experience.
